Salomon Sportstyle X Steve Booker
Dungeness, Kent. November 2021.
A photography workshop with Salomon Sportstyle and Steve Booker. A crazy setting, a beautiful house, good food, good wine, good people and some new shoes.
Salomon and Steve came together to create a workshop that gave back to their following and the creative community. I was lucky enough to be one of three selected to take part.
Dungeness is a unique setting. The nuclear power station stands tall over a plain of green and yellow. The homes are sparse and a handful of said homes have been designed and built with serious finesse. We were lucky enough to stay in one.
I have followed Steve’s creative journey for many years. His content has been a constant inspiration for me and my work. Getting to get hear some insight into that, chat all things ‘creation’ and generally just hang out was really valuable.
Salomon Sportstyle wanted to create this workshop to give back to the creative community they have started to build. New shoes were present and they too were a part of the creative conversation. The Salomon XT 6’s to be exact.
Shooting throughout the day as a group was great and it became a melting pot for ideas. I learnt something from everyone that day and the energy to create was addictive, something I hadn’t experienced for a while.
It was like we already knew each other, the chat between us all was like that of good mates. We sat down for some amazing food and wine. We ate, we drank, we laughed, we shared.
Best bit of foccacia I’ve ever had, the boys will tell you the same.
Dear Steve, Oliver, Lewis, Luke.
Thank you.
“I’m fascinated by what I’ll do tomorrow.”
